For more than twenty years I have taught in public universities working with computers and the web, curricula development, art and design. What is considered "new media" constantly evolves and reshapes itself based on innovations in technology. Interesting by-products of these technological changes are the new patterns created for learning, teaching and communicating.
When I am not teaching I am researching information and reflecting upon issues related to human rights. These provide the basis of my current creative work. Additionally, I work with a former colleague to make his Political Terror Scale more accessible to larger numbers of people. The Political Terror Scale web site can be seen online at http://www.politicalterrorscale.org.
I spend most of my time in a modest cabin in the forest along the northern boundary of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
